Anne Bland, CEO

Anne Bland is a social entrepreneur and heads up the operations of SBI in Finland. Anne was first introduced to social enterprise in 1996 when she co-founded a worker co-operative in Finland. The values of the co-op movement resonated with her own and she subsequently became a co-operative adviser. Anne has also extensive experience in the civil society and adult education, and has worked both in London and Helsinki.

In SBI she has been leading SBI’s programme of knowledge transfer between the UK and Finland and has co-written two reports on social enterprise for the Finnish Government. Recently, Anne has been working closely with Finnish municipalities that aim to innovate their public service delivery. Based on SBI series of study visits, seminars and conferences she has been exploring approaches to the use of outcomes-based commissioning, co-production and impact measurement tools.
